Every month Experimental Gameplay Project (EGP for short) runs a competition: given a minimalistic theme, its energic community creates videogames that can be publicly presented at the end of the month to the world wide web. Rules are simple: each game is produced by a single person in no more than 7 days.
With an average of 30 games per month, it’s one of the most active initiatives in the indie games contests world.
Stattbad is a charming events outpost in Berlin (DE). It was designed by Ludwig Hoffmann at the end of the 19th century as a public swimming pools complex, heavily damaged during WW2 it has been rebuilt during the 60s.
Since it was repurposed and became a venue for nightlife and a gallery for artists, it has rapidly gained respect as an istitutionalized stylish location.
On December 1, 2011 EGP launches a special 2-months long competition.
After the usual roundup on January 31, 2012 there will be an exceptional followup, when all the eligible games are presented in Stattbad on a dedicated event called Stattmedia Game Contest, running with Unità Zero as game controller.
Stattmedia Game Contest event will take place on February 17, 2012 in Stattbad Wedding, Berlin.
Visitors will be able to play the games and they will be able to vote their favorites.
There will be winners and therefore a prize.
